The Duke's Central Chiang Mai Airport Restaurant, located inside the airport terminal in Thailand, is a casual dining venue designed for airport travelers. Our company was responsible for the full-scale customization and supply of all furniture categories. Leveraging our expertise in product integration and spatial planning, we helped the restaurant create a comfortable and relaxed dining experience for travelers waiting for their flights.
The dining area is designed around the concept of a “warm haven during an airport journey.” The space is open and airy, perfectly suited to the high-traffic, fast-paced environment of an airport, while our custom-made furniture serves as the cornerstone of both the space’s style and functionality:
Ceiling Design: A checkered ceiling in a contrasting deep green and off-white color scheme, paired with recessed downlights, echoes the colors and lines of our custom-designed dining tables, chairs, and booth furniture. This design not only meets the functional requirements of the airport space but also enhances its vintage ambiance through the texture of the furniture.
Wall Design and Space Division: Exposed red brick walls run throughout the space. We customized solid wood dining tables and chairs along with leather booth seating for this area, naturally dividing the open kitchen from the dining area. This design preserves the lively atmosphere of an open kitchen while ensuring the dining area’s privacy through the thoughtful arrangement of furniture; Next to floor-to-ceiling glass windows framed in fresh mint green, custom-made casual tables and chairs allow travelers to enjoy a relaxed meal in natural light, catering to both waiting and resting needs.
Flooring and Soft Furnishings: The warm, natural tone of the wood-grain flooring blends seamlessly with our custom-made solid wood dining table and chairs, as well as the leather booth seating, effectively softening the cold, clinical feel often associated with airport spaces. Christmas decorations—such as wreaths and Christmas trees—complement the floral arrangements throughout the space, and when combined with the thoughtful, user-friendly design details of the furniture, they further enhance the warm and inviting dining atmosphere.

Open Kitchen Furniture: To complement the half-height red brick partition wall, we custom-designed matching workstation furniture that combines stainless steel with solid wood, balancing durability and aesthetics to support the high-volume operations of an open kitchen. Above the bar counter, custom-made hanging units and display shelves in the chalkboard menu area facilitate the presentation of menu items while optimizing the flow of the space.
Layout and Functional Design: In arranging the furniture, our company has fully taken into account the characteristics of airport passenger flow. The spacing between tables has been carefully planned, and the custom-made furniture features a unified design and complementary style.
